Notes: Xander is now my favorite! He came the closest to a drabble AND he gave me happy. It IS a miracle. :)
Tonight do you think we could be human? Do you think that we could pretend that we don't really care?
Even though Xander is the 'normal' one in the Scooby gang, he has a hard time feeling like he's just a normal guy. It's not that he feels special or empowered, but he's ninety five percent sure that most normal guys aren't best friends with a slayer and a witch. He's, also, pretty much positive that they don'tattempt to fight vampires and demons.
However, when Buffy and Willow are laughing about how Xander can't seem to catch popcorn in his mouth while the latest Blockbuster new release plays on the TV, he can't help but feel for a moment like they're all normal. Normal teenagers who are just as capable of fun and happiness as the next. And sometimes it doesn't even feel like they're pretending.
